VoIP Communication Switching System
MULTI-PLATFORM DISTRIBUTED ARCHITECTURE
X-IP 200 is a complete ATC Voice Communication System designed to Interconnect operators with analog and VoIP voice communication interfaces (i.e. telephones and radios) thus enabling ATC voice communication. X-IP 200 allows access, monitor, and control radios, telephones, and intercommunications devices as well as to simulate ATC voice communication for testing, operational validation, and training purposes.
Product Overview
X-IP 200 is a complete ATC Voice Communication System designed to Interconnect operators and voice communication devices (radios, telephones, PABX, ...) with analog or VoIP interfaces.
X-IP 200 allows to access, monitor and control radios, telephones and intercommunications devices as well as to simulate ATC voice communication for testing,
operational validation and training purposes.
Operational Concept
X-IP 200 Operator Terminal (OT) allows air traffic controllers, through the use of a touch screen technology and an intuitive user interface (GUI), to access any telephone line and radio equipment connected to the X-IP 200 as well as any other air traffic controller position connected to the system. Speech to text capabilities and unified management of main and emergency radios make X-IP 200 a unique solution in VCSS ATM domain.

MATS
Malta Air Traffic Services
Period: 2020 - 2022
Number of WPs: 14
Number of Radio Channels: 35
Description:
The implemented system is part of the MATS Contingency System project. It is a complete VCS system, enabling A/G and G/G communications, with interconsole communications capabilities and interfacing with the external PABX. The core server is redundant. In addition to VoIP radio devices, the provided X-IP 200 system interfaces with analogue radios, for which gateways for analogue-to-VoIP conversion have also been supplied.
The system is operational to date.
ANA
Administration of Air Navigation, Luxembourg
Period: 2019-2020
Number of WPs: 5
Number of Radio Channels: 14 (simulated)
Description:
The X-IP 200 system supplied is in the ANA Luxembourg simulation environment. It has all the functionality of an "operational" system (A/G, G/G communications, all features), except that it does not interface with the radio equipment. These are simulated by software processes running on the server, which faithfully reproduce the behavior of the "real" radios and enable communication between controllers and operators at the pilot positions.
The system is operational to date.
DUKHAN AIR BASE
(Qatar Emiri Air Force) - Leonardo S.p.a. Prime Contractor
Period: 2020 - 2021
Number of WPs: 12
Number of Radio Channels: 32
Description:
The X-IP 200 system supplied to Leonardo for Dukhan Air Base (Qatar) covers all voice communications functions for ATC, A/G, G/G, and telephone communications both between controllers and with external PABXs. The core server is redundant. The supply also included eight IP telephones, directly connected and managed by the X-IP 200 system.
The system is operational to date.
AL-SHALAM AIR BASE
(Qatar Emiri Air Force) - Leonardo S.p.a. Prime Contractor
Period: 2020 - 2021
Number of WPs: 11
Number of Radio Channels: 28
Description:
The system supplied to Leonardo for the Al Shalam air base (Qatar) has exactly the same characteristics and functionality as the Dukhan system described above.
The system is operational to date.
MEA
(Middle East Airlines) - Beirut International Airport
Period: 2022 - 2023
Number of WPs: 16
Number of Radio Channels: 38
Description:
A small X-IP 200 system has been supplied to MEA for ground services in Beirut International Airport. Each of the 16 WPs allows communication on one radio frequency. There are 2 VoIP transceivers, in main/standby configuration. No G/G and/or telephone communications functions have been configured.
The system is operational to date.
